Project Description

ECE Westworks were appointed to design a private residential building set in a secluded valley. Ty Coch is a vacant farmhouse with assorted sheds and farm structures that has fallen into a state of disrepair. It is surrounded by planted woodland that was once acres of fields and orchards. Tal-y-Coed Court is the closest neighbour, a converted Queen Anne style hall accessed from the main road.

The brief was to renovate and restore the site as a whole with a view to improving the impact of the man-made interventions on the surrounding landscape, whilst retaining the character of the setting and creating a sustainable, low energy, modern family home with associated outbuildings.

The project is due to complete October 2019.
