St Phillips

Bristol

Residential

The riverside site in central Bristol is located in a former industrial area that has been earmarked by the Local Authority as a new City Quarter and expanded residential area to compliment the new Campus for Bristol University and the upgrades and redevelopment of Temple Meads Train Station.

The scheme proposes to redevelop an existing 1960s industrial unit and replace with a new Build-to-Rent Residential scheme of two new buildings with a max height of 12 levels to provide 250 new 1, 2 and 3 bed apartments. In addition to this the proposal provides retail spaces to activate the riverside frontage whilst each of the apartments would have private balconies or private terraces in addition to a mixture a communal facilities and a large roof terrace with panoramic City views.

The design of the building uses a mixture of materials to reference the rich historic industrial heritage of the St Philips Marsh area whilst providing a contemporary living environment and to continue the ongoing regeneration along the river corridor.
