A 55+ care development for a semi-rural site in Devon comprising 80 – 100 units of mixed-dependency residential accommodation. The proposal also offers amenity spaces in the form of a fitness facility, café / restaurant and a generous landscaping scheme to facilitate horticultural therapy. This introduces a number of communal spaces such as a central courtyard area, allotment plots and external balconies and seating areas. The aim is to promote social interaction amongst residents whilst offering a form of natural surveillance, maximising the level of care and safety across the site for the elderly and less able-bodied.
